🌲 Run for Forest – A Sponsored Running Event for the Forest!
🌱 What is a Sponsored Running Event?
A sponsored running event is a sporting event where children, teenagers, and adults run laps for a good cause. For each completed lap, previously recruited sponsors (e.g., parents, relatives, businesses) donate a set amount. In this way, every step quite literally becomes a contribution to the forest and the climate!
The “Run for Forest” combines athletic commitment with environmental protection – all proceeds go directly to the local reforestation project of the association Wald & Klima Ursern.
How Does It Work?
- Sign up: Register for the Run for Forest through the website. This helps us with planning. (The form is located at the bottom of the page)
- Find sponsors: Participants collect as many sponsors as possible ahead of time. These sponsors pledge to donate a fixed amount per completed lap. (A maximum amount can also be set)
- Fill out the sponsor card: Each participant keeps a personal sponsor card where all donation pledges are recorded.
- Run laps: On the event day, participants run on a marked course within a set time frame. Every completed lap counts!
- Pay donations: After the run, the association sends an invoice directly to each sponsor for the pledged amount of their runner.
📥 The sponsor card can be downloaded here as a PDF.
🖨️ You can also pick up your sponsor card at the Andermatt-Urserntal Tourism desk.
